In September 2019, Fr Peter Andrews retired from the post of Vicar of St Peter's. The period during which a new priest is chosen, is called an interregnum.
During the interregnum, as far as possible services and events will continue as usual, but it has been necessary to reduce the number of services during the week. Sunday services are generally as usual with our main Parish Mass at 10.30am.
A number of priests are assisting us to cover services during the interregnum for which we are very grateful. The name of the priest covering each service is listed on the home page of the website next to the service.
If you have a query or request, you can send an email to:
For urgent matters, there is a contact telephone number on the footer of this website page.
Please remember St Peter's, its Parish and People in your prayers during this period as we prepare for the selection of a new priest to lead us in our worship and mission at St Peter's.
Prayer for the interregnum
Heavenly Father, we ask that you will help us share responsibility, grow in faith, love one another, care for those in need, reach out to others, and welcome newcomers.
Lord Jesus, guard and grow this church as we serve you together in this period without a vicar. Please guide those who are seeking the right priest for us, and those who are seeking the right church or their ministry, that together we may discover your way for the future and see your Kingdom grow.
